Amy Bench is a cinematographer and filmmaker based in New York. Her work has screened throughout the United States, at festivals such as SXSW, Independent Lens Online Shorts Festival, The Dallas Video Fest, Black Maria Film & Video Fest, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, and aired on PBS. She is the recipient of the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship from the Department of Education, and is a two-time nominee of the Kodak Award for Excellence in Cinematography. Her work has been supported by grants from Women in Film-Dallas and the Texas Filmmakers Production Fund. As a cinematographer, she has studied under two of her heroes, Albert Maysles and Emmanuel Lubezki. |
